Jakarta – Semua mulai dari Presiden yang permisif dalam penegakan hukum, tidak teguh menegakkan hukum kebenaran dan para pemimpin partai yg rakus kekuasaan juga uang.   2. Penguatan lembaga penegak hukum dengan independensi nyata.

  3. Sanksi tegas dan konsisten untuk pelanggaran pemilu dan kekuasaan.

  4. Keteladanan dari Presiden dan pejabat puncak—bukan sekadar pidato.

Tanpa langkah-langkah ini, perdebatan sistem akan terus berulang, sementara masalah inti tetap tak tersentuh.

Kesimpulan: Demokrasi Tidak Akan Selamat Tanpa Ketegasan

Perdebatan pemilihan kepala daerah seharusnya menjadi pintu masuk untuk refleksi yang lebih jujur. Bukan sistem yang paling bermasalah, melainkan mentalitas dan penegakan hukum. Selama hukum bisa dipermainkan, demokrasi akan terus disandera—apa pun mekanisme yang dipilih.

Bangsa ini tidak kekurangan aturan dan prosedur.
Yang kurang adalah keberanian untuk menegakkan hukum,
